Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge Releases Statement Following Supreme Court Ruling Allowing Ohio to Purge Voters from its Rolls

WASHINGTON– Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge (OH-11) released the following statement after the Supreme Court’s ruling today allowing the Ohio Secretary of State to remove inactive voters from its voter rolls:

“I am deeply disappointed the Supreme Court once again failed to protect the fundamental right of all Americans to participate in our democracy.  All of us, including our highest court, should be doing everything we can to make sure people CAN vote, not allowing their right to vote to be stripped away. As usual, the decision will hurt the poor more than anyone.  From Citizens United, to Shelby v. Holder, now to Husted, voting rights are under attack.  Enough is enough.”
