Congressional Art Competition

The Congressional Art Competition is an annual opportunity to recognize and encourage artistic talent in each congressional district. The Congressional Art Competition is open to all high school students living in the Eleventh Congressional District.

As classes transitioned online, so has the competition! This year, a picture of your artwork will be accepted digitally. This is an opportunity to be creative with the materials that you may already have at home.

Artwork from the following mediums may be submitted: paintings, drawings, collages (two dimensional), prints, mixed media, computer-generated art, and photographs.

The winner and one member of his/her family will receive a complimentary trip to Washington, D.C. for the National Art Competition Reception.

The deadline for submission of artwork is 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2020.  All artwork must be accompanied by the student application form. Submissions must be sent via email to Esther.Kelsch@mail.house.gov.
