CONGRESSWOMAN FUDGE TO JOIN STUDENTS MAKING VALENTINES FOR VETS
February 13, 2012

WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS, OH- Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge (OH-11) will join students at Charles Elliot Elementary School in Cleveland on Monday, February 13th as they design Valentine's Day greetings for veterans. She will also address students in an assembly on the importance of supporting the men and women who served in our nation's Armed Forces and offer reflections in observance of Black History Month.  News media are invited to attend.

"Children learn from our example.  As they take time to remember special people in their lives on Valentine's Day, I can't think of a better occasion to teach them that our veterans deserve the support of a grateful nation.  Sending greetings to veterans who are confined in the hospital is a wonderful way to bring a smile and remind them of our commitment to honor and care for them," said Congresswoman Fudge.

The Congresswoman launched "Valentines for Vets" in the 11th District in 2011.  Her staff will deliver the students' cards to the Louis Stokes Veterans Medical Center on Valentine's Day February 14th for distribution to hospitalized veterans.
