WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS, OH-- Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge (OH-11) will participate in a Unity Rally on Monday, October 11, 2010 at Mt. Sinai Church. Congressman Luis Gutierrez (IL-4) will join her in a program that unites members of the Hispanic community with leaders from labor, faith, and civil rights organizations.

"America is a nation of immigrants, enriched in every way by our diversity," says Congresswoman Fudge. "Northeast Ohio reflects the benefits of that broad diversity.  There is much we can learn from each other in the pursuit of common goals; safe neighborhoods and schools, equal access to good jobs, affordable health care and a chance to live the American dream."

Congresswoman Fudge looks forward to her friend and colleague, Congressman Gutierrez, sharing his visionary ideas on celebrating diversity while promoting policies that break down barriers to equal opportunity.

Organizations sponsoring the "United We Rally" event include HOLA, Hispanic Alliance, Hispanic Roundtable, Cleveland NAACP, Nueva Luz Urban Resource Center, Iglesia Nueva Vida, Cleveland Jobs with Justice, Urban League of Greater Cleveland, Northshore AFL-CIO, and Young Latino Network.
