Congresswoman Fudge Statement on House Passage of the Farm Bill

WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge (OH-11) released the following statement after the House voted today to approve the Conference Report on H.R. 2, the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 known as the Farm Bill:

“The Farm Bill Conference report is a good bill, not a perfect bill, but certainly worthy of our support.  I am pleased Members on both sides of the aisle and across the chamber were able to reach consensus and show the American people Congress can work together.

“It was the right decision to vote for legislation that prevents devastating cuts to SNAP (Food Stamps); increases access to healthy foods in underserved areas; and provides farmers additional tools and resources needed to own and operate successful businesses.  This bill provides certainty and sound agricultural policies for America’s producers and consumers.”
