WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge (OH-11) announced the hiring of Ajashu Thomas as her new Communications Director.

“I am pleased Ajashu has joined my team,” said Congresswoman Fudge. “I know she will serve the people of Northeast Ohio well.”

Prior to joining Congresswoman Fudge’s staff, Ajashu served in the Obama administration at the U.S. Department of Transportation, most recently as Director of Digital Strategy. Prior to her DOT appointment in 2015, Ajashu worked on congressional races in Virginia, South Carolina and New Jersey, including then-Mayor Cory Booker’s successful 2013 campaign for U.S. Senate. She also has previous Capitol Hill experience as Press Secretary for former Congressman Brad Miller (NC-13).

Ajashu is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
