Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge Statement Regarding the Shooting of Local Professor, David Wilder March 29, 2017
WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS, OH – Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge (OH-11) released the following statement about the shooting of local adjunct professor, David Wilder:
“Professor David Wilder was an educator, a fighter, and an advocate. Committed to art education and workers’ rights, he taught at three of our higher education institutions and co-founded the Ohio Part-Time Faculty Association to amplify the voice of adjunct professors and improve their overall quality of life.
“Professor Wilder’s untimely death is a great loss to our district and State. Senseless gun violence continues to plague our communities, and we must do everything in our power to stop it.
“I send my sincere condolences to the family and friends of Professor Wilder and the students and faculty of Cleveland State University, John Carroll University, and Cuyahoga Community College. Professor Wilder is no longer with us, but his legacy lives on in art, life, and advocacy.”
