WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge (OH-11) released the following statement regarding House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes:

 

“The American people deserve an impartial investigation and the truth about the Trump Administration’s ties to Russia, but House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes has proven he is not the one to lead that investigation.  Mr. Nunes’ recent conduct clearly shows that he is not impartial and has lost the trust and respect of the American people.  His meeting with the President and cancellation of House Intelligence Committee hearings this week hide the truth, undermine his committee’s work, and demean his leadership role.  Mr. Nunes is more concerned with political ties than sworn obligations, and he does not have the American people’s best interests at heart.  We cannot trust him to lead an honest investigation or the House Intelligence Committee.  Mr. Nunes must step down.”
