Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge Announces $3 M U.S. Department of Education Grant to Cuyahoga Community College August 20, 2016
WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS, OH – Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge (OH-11) released the following statement to congratulate Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) on receiving a $3.1 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education: “Congratulations to Tri-C for continuing its work to educate, enrich, and strengthen the people of Northeastern Ohio. This federal grant isn’t just another public investment. It is a promise to 1,300 students from some of our state’s neediest families, by providing wrap-around services to get them from freshman year to commencement.” Through the TRIO Grant, Tri-C will serve students from seven Cleveland Metropolitan School District high schools: Martin Luther King, Jr. Career Campus; Scranton; Charles A. Mooney; East Technical; James Ford Rhodes; John Adams; and, Lincoln-West. Tri-C will receive an initial $616,454 in year one and additional funding over the next five years.
