WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS, OH - Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge (OH-11) released the following statement after the Ohio Arts Council (OAC) awarded $3,881,845 to 90 arts organizations in the 11th Congressional District for Fiscal Year 2017:

“Arts and culture transform our lives.  Arts programs enrich communities, enhance quality of life, and empower individuals to do more than they ever thought possible. That’s why I am pleased the Ohio Arts Council awarded nearly $4,000,000 to 90 arts organizations in the 11th Congressional District.  Thanks to the OAC, recipients in Cuyahoga and Summit Counties will further their mission to cultivate creativity and foster a sense of community pride.”

Since 1965, the OAC has played a key role in the preservation of arts and culture in Ohio.  For FY 2017, a total of $12 million in grants were awarded to 630 projects throughout Ohio.
