WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS, OH – Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge (OH-11) is pleased to announce Apple, as part of President Barack Obama’s ConnectEd initiative, donated 580 iPads to students at John F. Kennedy Elementary School (JFK). Mac computers and iPads were also donated to all JFK teachers for classroom use, and a new wireless network was installed at Barack Obama Elementary School. These technological and infrastructure improvements put the schools on track to meet the President’s goal of ensuring 99% of students nationwide are able to access the Internet by 2018.

Congresswoman Fudge released the following statement:

“I thank Apple for providing our teachers and students with the resources necessary for 21st century learning. Technological innovation is rapidly transforming classrooms and tools like those supplied by Apple ensure our students will keep up and acquire skills to successfully compete globally.  Join me in applauding President Obama’s ConnectEd initiative, and Apple, for setting our students on a path toward academic success by putting the world at their fingertips.”
