Congresswoman Marcia Fudge Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month September 15, 2015
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge (OH-11) issues the following statement in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month 2015:
“This month we pay homage to the Hispanic community and celebrate the extraordinary contributions Hispanic Americans have made to the United States. Through achievements in business, education, health care, and the military, the Hispanic community has strengthened our economy and led to the success of our nation.
“America is known as the melting pot: a country built by and for people from across the globe. As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, we are reminded of our rich history and must recommit ourselves to honoring our diverse values.
"Let’s work together to improve the lives of all Americans and give everyone a chance to achieve the American Dream. We must pass comprehensive immigration reform, increase the minimum wage, and expand access to quality health care and education for all.”
