(Warrensville Heights, OH) - Today, Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge (OH-11) released the following statement after the release of the Tamir Rice shooting investigation by the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s office:

“Today we are one step closer to receiving justice for 12-year-old Tamir Rice. Thank you, Cuyahoga County Sheriff Clifford Pinkney for your diligence in this matter.

“I urge Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Timothy McGinty to act with a sense of urgency and review this tragic shooting immediately.  The citizens of Cleveland deserve swift action. The investigation into the shooting of Tamir Rice has taken too long. Our goal is justice. As Martin Luther King, Jr. said, ‘Justice too long delayed is justice denied.’ We want justice now.”
