CONGRESSWOMAN FUDGE REACTION TO U.S./COALITION STRIKES IN SYRIA
September 23, 2014

WASHINGTON, DC – In an interview on The Reid Report (MSNBC-TV) today, Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge (OH-11) discussed her reaction to the American-led airstrikes against ISIS targets in Syria.  The Congresswoman distinguished between air strikes against terrorist organizations that threaten American interests and funding to arm and train Syrian rebels.  Click on the video image to view the segment:

“Once you start to train people, once we're on the ground, to me that's mission creep and I just don't want to see us do that. I think as long as we can make some real significant progress by air strikes and, this is the bigger piece, to bring our allies in, that is what has made this and is going to make it a very successful effort. I do believe that the President was right when he says that other nations, Arab nations, need to stand up - that's what I'm pleased about today.”
