Celebrating the flag, the Army and immigrants

(Cleveland) - A busy day at the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame as Flag Day, the U.S. Army's Anniversary, and more than two dozen new citizens were celebrated.

U.S. District Judge Solomon Oliver Jr. swore in 29 immigrants, who are now American citizens. Many coming from as far away Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, Congo and Peru.

Ornela Kryeziu immigrated from Albania and told Newsradio WTAM 1100 that she and her family are planning a big celebration.

Pamela Staff is from South Africa and said she had lived on three continents, but Cleveland Ohio is the place she really loves.

In honoring the 239th Anniversary of the U.S. Army, 4 servicemen were named "Soldier of the Year”. Sgt. Daniel Brautigam, Sgt. Michael Barnhardt, SSG Adam Edwards, and Sgt. Andrew Branic.

U.S. Congresswoman Marcia Fudge said America owes a lot to its military, and we should take the time to show our appreciation as often as we can.
