Congresswoman Fudge to Deliver Remarks at Flag Day and Naturalization Ceremony

WASHINGTON, DC – Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge (OH-11) will deliver remarks and participate in a Flag Day and Naturalization Ceremony on Friday, June 13th at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland.  U.S. District Court Chief Judge Solomon Oliver Jr. will preside over the swearing in of 29 new citizens who emigrated from 24 different nations.  The program, sponsored by the Joint Veterans Council of Cuyahoga County will also celebrate the U.S. Army’s 239th Birthday and include recognition of Soldiers of the Year.  The event is free and open to the public.

WHERE: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, 1100 Rock and Roll Boulevard, at noon. (Parking is available for $3 at the lot west of FirstEnergy Stadium.)

 

About Flag Day:   President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation in 1916, officially establishing June 14th as Flag Day. In August 1949, National Flag Day was established by an Act of Congress.
