U.S. Rep. Marcia Fudge to speak at Akron Press Club

U.S. Rep. Marcia Fudge will speak at the Akron Press Club luncheon on Jan. 23.

Fudge, who recently rose to prominence when she was chosen as the leader of the Congressional Black Caucus, represents the 11th district that includes part of Summit County and Akron.

Redistricting gave her a slice of Summit County. She opened an office in Akron and recently had a town hall meeting in the city.

The luncheon will be at 11:45 a.m. in Ballroom C of Quaker Station, 135 S. Broadway. Free parking is available behind the building.

Cost is $15 for press club members and $20 for non-members.
